Chicken Burger and Salsa Recipe

1/2 bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1/2 cup (125 mL) finely chopped onion
1/4 cup (60 mL) bread
1/4 cup (60 mL) salsa
2 c tablespoons (30
1 c tsp (5 ml) ® Tabasco
c 1/4 tsp salt (1 ml)
c 1/4 tsp (1 ml) pepper
1 lb. (500 g) ground chicken
4 Half a hamburger bun
4 lettuce leaves
16 thin slices of English cucumber
1/2 cup (125 mL) sliced Monterey Jack cheese
1. In a large bowl , combine
green chilies, onion, bread crumbs, salsa, parsley, Tabasco sauce, salt, and pepper. Add the minced chicken and mix well. Shape mixture into four patties 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick.
2. Prepare dark charcoal on medium-high or gas grill set on medium-high. Place the oiled spatula on the grill and cook 10 to 12 minutes or until the interior is lightly browned and the chicken is no longer pink. (Pie back in half)
3 Meanwhile, place the cubes on an oiled grill and cook for 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Place the blocks in toasted bread. Garnish with chopped lettuce leaves, cucumber and cheese. Serve immediately.
